Lamington Gun Dogs, run by Graham Gibson, specialises in gundog
training for the shooting field.
We are a small family run business and strive to produce and train
quality Labrador retrievers and spaniels for the shooting field.
All our bitches are from physically sound field trial winning stock
and compete successfully in field trials.
All our animals are Hip
scored and eye tested and chosen for their looks and temperament.
GUN DOG TRAINING BY GRAHAM GIBSON:
Graham has been training gundogs professionally
for over 20 years.
He trains retrievers, spaniels
and H.P.R (Hunt, Point, and Retrieve),
and as a hobby he runs his own dogs in field trials.
He has won
field trials with Labradors, Spaniels and German shorthaired pointers.
There are very few trainers, if in fact any, that have won trials
in all three disciplines.
Although our dogs compete in trials,
they are used extensively in the shooting field, which is Graham’s
other passion, where he has worked for the last 17 years as part
time gamekeeper on the surrounding 3000-acre grouse moor and small
pheasant shoot. Graham's training method seems to bring out the
natural game finding abilities in all the dogs he trains, and as
no harsh treatment is used, the drive, style and respect the dogs
have for him is there for all to see.
 Training
for Life is a simple to follow and entertaining programme
that teaches you to teach your dog Basic Obedience. Including scenes
on looking after your new dog, problem dogs, and preventing
livestock chasing.
Graham's method is easy, enjoyable and rewarding, for both dog and owner: and
with only
twenty or so minutes training per day you will have a well trained dog in a matter
of weeks .
